以消費改變世界 Consume to Pay it Forward
What is Ethical Consumption?
Ethical consumption refers to consumer behaviour in which consumers choose products and services that they think are good for society, based on consideration for a variety of factors, including the environment, human rights, and animal welfare.
Tithe Ethical Consumption Movement (TECM) is a social innovation --- a platform that connects the government, corporations, social enterprises, volunteers, and the public together. We strive to increase awareness of social entrepreneurship and urge the public to support social enterprises through “consumption”. Our vision is to "Consume to Pay it Forward" as we engage the public to take part in solving social issues by practicing their ethical consumption.
We aim to promote two core values:
- 10% Swap for Good: Replacing “One Tenth” of your usual consumption with social enterprise products or services. For example, for every ten cups of coffee you consume, you may consider buying one from a social enterprise.
- Two No, One Yes: "No almsgiving" and "No extras", "Yes to social enterprise".
